CosTUmE project intends to create a new and attractive Clothing Technician profile and qualification recognized in EU (PT, ES, RO) and to mobilize young people and adults in their professional qualification in the VET system, through the acquisition of necessary skills for textile and clothing industry, by the strong connection to fashion, technical textiles, home textiles, sustainability, introduction of new materials and industry 4.0.
To define the clothing technician profile and qualification through the identification and validation of the textile and clothing companies’ skills needs. To collect and pin existing WBL practices in the textile and clothing sector and assess the level of transference for the clothing technician profile.FIND OUT
To design a new professional profile and qualification – a clothing techniican – in line with concrete skills needs identified by companies and experts and innovative pegagogical methodologies (WBL).FIND OUT
Promote the recognition of a new professional profile and qualification by the national regulatory entities that meets the European Qualification Framework (EQF) requirements.FIND OUT
To create guidelines in order to facilitate mobility of qualified people into EU.FIND OUT
To support and provide resources to trainers of the textile and clothing sectors in order to empower them in delivering the new (re-designed) profile and stay updated in the skills’ needs of the sectors.FIND OUT
Throughout the 2 years, CosTUmE will be engaged in several networking sessions, dissemination events, international fairs and multiplier seminars. Together with a pack of online communication tactics, CosTUmE will outreach its target groups.FIND OUT
CosTUmE project started last October and will last until September 2020. Crucial partners will then cooperate during these 2 years to make happen our ambition.
